I thought The Steer Network event was amazing. I have just come back from maternity leave and it was the perfect event that I needed to invigorate me and help me to think of what I’m going to do next in my career. I will say that the event was inspiring, the expertise of the mentors and panellist was great. The key thing I took away was really knowing what you achieve whatever you set your mind on and understand your strengths and weaknesses and focus on what you want.

I had a great time at the event organised by the steer network seeing people of colour in senior positions was great and all the speakers were amazing, I left feeling really inspired and looking forward to the next event.

The panel was very good, and discussions were excellent. The mentoring sessions was fantastic as we had the benefit of different mentors who were going around the groups. The attendees had the courage to discuss issues that minorities face at work and the mentors had depth of knowledge to answer the questions and I’m looking forward to the next event.
